    The rest of the story.

IMG_0836California Great Adventure was on the schedule for the next day and we liked it, fewer people=shorter lines.  The GIRL freaked outIMG_0697 on California Screamin roller coaster shown here behind us.  In her defense it did go in a loop upside down.  Little baby LOVED the  carousel and we let him go on it around 5 times.  We tried taking pictures of him while it was moving but he'd be half in and half out of the short...head thrown back in pure glee!  (In this pic it was stopped and I was right by the head of the sea lion just out of the shot.  Little note for all you "omg" moms.)

IMG_0728 The next day was BY FAR the best day we IMG_0744had on our trip.  Seriously, I can only take so much cheery music and horribly long lines.  I think  what  bothered me the most about Disneyland was that it seemed like there was a 5 store to one ride ratio.  If I ever go to any Disney again it will be during school time and for only about 2-3 days.  I researched and researched the CA. area beaches and came up with Little Corona Del IMG_0799 Mar...we rented a car...and headed out.  Just look at this place.  Part sandy beach the other part tide pools that were very interesting for the GIRL to scrounge around.  Little crabs and anemones, a science lesson for the  day...just gordatious.   Here's the little BABY...after playing in the sand for a few hours he just gave IMG_0818out.  We call this pic, "Little BABY Beach Burrito."

We had one more day @ Disney.  We woke up late and went to the hotel pool.  We didn't get to Disney until around 12.  The GIRL and I rode the teacups. Later that night we went to the fire works and rode the train around the whole place.  It was a low key day.  That night we packed up to get ready for the airport the next morning.

I loved the beach, I'd forgotten how much I'd missed it.

PS Next blog will enlist your help for something in my house!  Ohhhh and Rose, thanks heaps for the recommendation of the camera awhile back, it takes FAB shots!!!  AND the price, WOOOHOOOO!

This is my favorite picture from the whole darn trip.

My mother is full-on, in love with Disney World (I know it's different, but not by much).  I've been more times than I remember and she is seriously counting down the days until she can take Charlie.  I told her she could take him when he turned two.  I have a feeling we'll be off to the magic Kingdom sometime next summer.

The beach looks fab--that's more my kind of vacation--I am SO hoping that my summer beach plans have not been ruined by my in-laws.

That was one heck of a vacation.  I'm so glad you were able to chronicle it and take a bunch of pictures.  Make sure you safeguard those pictures, because I can't tell you how many I have lost over the years.  And now that I have a niece and nephew old enough to appreciate some of them, they're not around.
Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Great pics! Except now I have "It's a Small World" going through my head as that's what I remember about my trip to a Disney park. That and the prices! Whew. Your comment on my space was hilarious - thank you for that!

    Hiya Mercy,
thanks for popping by earlier. Sorry there wasn't any good news for you to read, but I trust you managed a giggle at the New Definitions. Hopefully, there'll be something nicer to read next time you call in.
I do hope your malady doesn't give you too much trouble. Those ducks can be a nuisance.

    Love & Laughter to you,

Oh, I'm so mighty glad that the camera worked out well for you; the pics look fab! My fave is the family pic overlooking the beach with our clear blue, nearly cloudless skies. CDM is always fun; glad you got to go and enjoy those great tidepools. Baby Beach Burrito - lol! Glad you got him covered up; baby sunburns are not good. With the beach right at the end of my street, I take it too much for granted. Thanks for letting me "see" it through your eyes, girlfriend!

Now, I have been tagged, and since I'm such a giver, I tagged you in return.  Come see my space for details...it's relatively painless AND quick!

Great pic of Him and Babe - they're all great actually.

Isn't Disney exhausting?  But fun.  I don't remember California Screaming being that scary - I remember the Tower of Terror was scary.  Did you do Its a Small World and Pirates?

Love your beach find...I'm going to have to note that spot for our next So Cal trip.
